29500 US Hwy. 395 - Smokey Bear Flat, Mammoth Lakes, California Smokey Bear Flat is located 3 miles north of the Junction of Hwy. 203. (See Map Above). Note that 3s23 on the Google Map is the "Scenic Loop Road".
An alternate location is utilized if the snowpack becomes marginal. Call for the location of the alternate staging area.
PARKING
Approximately 55 vehicle parking is available at Smokey Bear Flat. Plenty of tour bus parking.
TAXI SERVICES Taxi services are available between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to/from Mammoth to DJ's. Be sure to have a reservation at DJ's before arranging taxi service.

Los Angeles airlines to Mammoth is www.horizon.com 1-800-547-9308. Flights begin daily December 17 through April 11. Services were expanded to two fllgiths per day to/from Los Angeles and one flight per day from Reno, San Jose, Seattle, and Portland.
