Snowmobiile Trails See Map are subject to weather, snowpack, and funding. Average snowpack 3-5 feet. Elevation 7600 ft to 9104 ft. Trails are patrolled by the US Forest Service and the Mono County Sheriff's Department for your safety.
Grooming: Photo 
of groomer is DJ's Snowmobile Adventures, Inc. Trails are groomed at company expense. Orange diamond marker trails are groomed by the US forest service with help from snowmobile operators. Snowmobile operators also contribute to the trail system before and after the season removing limbs and obstacles on the trails.
Funding for the forest service snowcat and labor comes from the California Off-Highway Vehicle Program. The program is funded through green sticker monies from off-highway vehicle registrations. Snowmobile operators do not receive funding for grooming from this or any other agency.
Trail marking is a combination of orange diamond markers with "L" for Lookout Mtn., "A" to "D" markers is the Bald Mtn. route. DJ's provides specialty trail signs for self-guided routes. They show the name of the trail, directional signage, color of the trail (green, blue and orange), and a number (checkpoints). These signs are reflective. They are prominent for night riders that own their snowmobiles
Guided tours may utilize any route within the permitted operating area including self-guided trails. Not all routes are shown on the map.
Self-Guided Tours (Rentals).... trails are noted on the map as orange (Bald Mtn), blue (Vista Trail) and green (Lookout Mtn.) routes. These routes are noted below:
